All About Me

Leeta-Rose dragged herself from the depths of meth hell when she found out she was she was pregnant, only to find that two children would equate to continued sleepless nights.

In substitution of methamphetamine, Leeta-Rose has become totally addicted to coffee, cheese and school.

Other addicts sometimes substitute with alcohol, sex or NA meetings, however, these things are not for her.

With a 6-year-old and a 2-year-old running amok in her tiny condo, Leeta-Rose finds that a simple cup of coffee and a string cheese is just enough to keep up her strengths to fight off the midget warriors.

A typical day begins at 5 a.m. with James, her son, screaming for whatever food is not in the fridge.

After that, the rush is on to get everyone fed, dressed and out of the house so that Leeta-Rose can begin her flurry of homework and editing work.

She has been criticized for having an unhealthy relationship with her grade point average, but that sure beats a love affair with a meth pipe.

Leeta-Rose has always had a love for writing and the interest in journalism began with the television show Murphy Brown and stacks of National Geographic on her grandmother's coffee table.

This simple interest has blossomed into an obsession and will, hopefully, develop into a career.

She may not have the opportunity to fly to Africa on assignment, but just the chance to follow and report a local story would be a dream come true.
